Question about treatment...

Staphanie asked what Dr. Hudson recommended for people with current infections...I don't really know exactly, but I'll tell you what information I did get.

Dr. Hudson did talk with me about the fact that for a long time, it was thought that MRSA did not enter human cells. They now have seen MRSA enter human cells. The problem then is that most antibiotics DO NOT ENTER HUMAN CELLS. So the infection is only taken care of outside of our cell walls, not inside. I was telling him about the different antibiotics we've been on and I mentioned Bactrim (Septra), Clindamyacin, and Vanqamyacin. Clindamyacin happens to be one that DOES enter human cells. So, if your MRSA responds to Clindamyacin, I would say to go with that one.

Along the same lines, the alternative type Doc we see told us in February, after some research he did, to use Milk Thistle (silmaryin), especially when on antibiotics, because it allows the antibiotic to enter the cell and get at the infection. This didn't really make sense to me at the time, but it did after speaking to Dr. Hudson recently and finding out about antibiotics not entering the human cell. We did this in February with Bactrim and we have only been on antibiotics twice for MRSA since then (once me, once my daughter). That in itself is a miracle! Last year both my girls were on antibiotics, on average, twice a month. So, I tend to think it really helps! If you can't take Clindamyacin for your MRSA, I would suggest trying Milk Thistle with whichever one you are taking.

On a side note, Dr. Hudson hadn't heard of this effect with Milk Thistle, but seemed as if he may look into it. I would love to know what happens in the lab, whether it confirms this or not. He's a busy guy, but maybe?

Also, about Colloidal Silver. It seems it works well, if it can get to the infection or wound. I have used it on a sore throat, hangnail starting to get sore, taken orally when getting sick and it does seem to help dramatically. On wounds..same thing, it helps if it can get "into" the wound. It's hard to really get it into the boil at the infection site.

You have to be careful though about colloidal silver. Lots of products advertise as colloidal, but is really ionic. Here is a website where you can learn more. They even have a chart that tells you which brands are true colloids.

I saw a show the other day about a guy who drinks colloidal silver. He literally turned blue. I'm not joking. He is an old guy who has turned bluish. I'm not saying don't use colloidal silver. I'm just telling you what I saw.

You are what you eat they say. :)

I wanted to call your attention to the recent announcements about a product called SinoFresh. Its an OTC nasal spray and is an antiseptic. They have done studies in vivo and with animals. They found that SinoFresh kills MRSA in the nose. They haven't done human studies yet for killing MRSA but the stuff is already available OTC. I figure that since its already available OTC that there's very little risk to it and I have started using it. You may want to check it out. Agricur, discovered in the Massif Central mountain range, is believed to lead scientists to the development of a new antibiotics' class to which superbugs will be unable to develop resistance. If human trials turn out to be successful, agricur could save lives of thousands of people a year.

Scientists who conducted the laboratory experiments were surprised to see that the clay could destroy bug colonies in just a day. Over the same time period, MRSA's control samples that were not treated with agricur, increased 45-fold. The clay also destroys other deadly bacteria - salmonella and buruli, a flesh-eating disease, a relative of lep rosy.

The terrible disease blemishes children in central and western Africa. MRSA and other bacteria are resistant to conventional antibiotics, in most cases because patients stop taking prescribed drugs after feeling better rather than finishing the proper treatment course.

As a result, the hardiest bugs manage to survive and continue to spread. Scientists in search for new antibiotics to be used instead penicillin have not been much successful.

French doctor Line Brunet de Course was the first to discover the healing properties of French green clays, basically composed of minerals known as smectite and illite. The doctor used the clays to fight buruli at Ivory Coast and Guinea clinics. She then provided 50 case studies to the World Health Organization that described her work as really impressive.

However, the doctor was not given any funding as she lacked scientific evidence. Following de Course's death, her son wanted to find scientists who would get interested in testing agricur. Dr Lynda Williams from Arizona State University, specializing in the clay research, agreed to conduct the testing.

At the moment the scientists have no precise explanation as for how agricur treats MRSA and other infections. According to Dr Williams, they have discovered several anti-bacterial clays that are able to transfer unknown elements to the bacteria, impeding their metabolic function.

The scientists believe that it is not only one toxic element but a combination of elements and chemical conditions that successfully attack the bacteria from different angles, thus destroying their defence systems. They also believe that the clays could attack bacteria through a physical rather than a biochemical process, implying that bacteria could never work out resistance. The scientists are really optimistic about their findings, hoping to save a lot of human lives.

Soo, where can we get this French green agricur clay??? And does it work orally, or topically?

I justed wanted to let you know that I have been praying for you and the girls these past few weeks.

I want to encourage you and let you know that you are doing a great job in taking care of your family.

Here's a short prayer that I want to share with you...

Dear Heavenly Father,

You are an amazing and wonderful God. We don’t fully understand your ways but believe that you have a purpose for us and believe that things happen to us for a reason. You tell us that you will not give us anything that we are not capable of handling, though, often times we don’t feel that way. Help us be strong, faithful, and believe that you will always be there for us and come through for us. Help us to let go of all our worries and commit them to you.

Lord, I ask that you bless and lift up the tweedfamilyof4. I pray for the Mom who is truly an amazing, inspirational, and courageous woman. Not only does she have to deal with the outbreaks with her 2 young girls, she also has to deal with her own outbreaks. I’ve seen first hand the physical and emotional pain and suffering that these outbreaks cause. I pray that you will give the Mom strength and perseverance to get through this.

Lord, I pray for healing for the Mom, the 4yo daughter, and the 8yo daughter. I pray that their outbreaks will become less and less frequent and eventually go away all together. I pray that their bodies will be strong and be able to fight off the infections w/o the need for antibiotics. I also want to give praise and thank you that the girl’s eczema and allergies are improving and that it will continue to do so.

Lord, the girls should not have to worry about their eczema, allergies, and outbreaks. I pray that the girls will be strong and continue to be healthy and safe.

In Jesus Name,

Amen

A few more MRSA fighters:

NEEM ingredient:

MRSA was first developed by the US Army in Fort Detrick, Maryland as a weaponized (genetically engineered) version of the common staph bacterium for use on the battlefield to incapacitate enemy troops.

Doctors usually discover that a patient has MRSA only after trying every conventional antibiotic, including the most powerful, Methicilin. When the Methicilin proves ineffective, they then diagnose it as MRSA. But once that point in treatment has been reached, much of the good bacteria in the patient’s body has been destroyed, making him/her more vulnerable than before.

Recently, a substance called Azadirachtin was recognized as powerful enough to stop MRSA from spreading. Azadirachtin attacks the feeding mechanisim of MRSA, paralyzing the baceria itself and, through penetration of Azadirachtin into the surrounding skin and muscle tissues after topical application (on infected skin), prevents MRSA spread and finally kills it. Azadirachtin is found in effective quanities in for internal consumption in powder form or in specially processed neem oil with at least 25% Azadirachtin content.

Avoidance of refined sugars or even sweet fruits is highly recommended during an outbreak of MRSA. Substances that compete with MRSA to digest the body’s sugars and detoxifiers are also known to bring relief.

Marijuana cannabinoids:

Cannabis sativa has antibacterial properties. Experiments in the 1950s tested various marijuana preparations against skin and other infections

antibacterial activity of the five most common cannabinoids. All were found effective against several common multi-resistant bacterial strains

compounds may prove useful sooner as a topical agent against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA, to prevent the microbes from colonizing on the skin

MMS:

using the MMS and silver to flush out the sickness. I spend all day on the couch drinking massive amounts of water (1 case lasts 2 days), taking my stuff, using my nose spray, and SPITTING OUT MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF POST NASAL BIOHAZARD

I think you may find the following link useful:

http://www.mrsanotes.com/family-battles-mrsa-needs-your-suggestions/

Follow the link and look for a post by Laurie dated Aug 7, 2008. In this post, she writes about what worked for her MRSA infections.

She basically says that Sovereign Silver from http://www.natural-immunogenics.com and tumeric work together as a "Super Force" against MRSA.

I'm not sure which colloidal silver you use but after some research, it looks like Meso Silver and http://silver-colloids.com are the same company! Look at the contact info for these two companies and you'll notice that they are in the same state and zip code.

http://www.hydrosolinfo.com/ (looks like it's owned by natural-immunogenics?) has info that claims that the antibacterial part of silver is in the ionic part of silver and not the colloidal part?...

I find this silver stuff really confusing becasue it has way too much terminology...

Meso and Natural-Immunogenics bash each other's product but it seems like Natural-Immunogenics has better scientific data to back up their claims.

I'm still unsure about taking it internally but it seems to be useful topically.

Are you taking it internally or just using it topically?

I have a friend whose daughter has had MRSA for 10 weeks. She has been doing the alternative treatment route but is getting discouraged and wondering if she's doing the right thing or should seek out antibiotics, especially the one you mentioned that enters the human cell.

She doesn't have Internet access. Is there any way for her to contact you and ask questions? I found your blog for her and sent her the information.

Rest in peace Dr Hudson. I just learned he
passed away in 2009. You helped a lot of
people.
